Press Release for Dr. Lockhart Image

CUTHBERT, GA. – Dr. Calandra Lockhart has been selected as the new Vice President of Academic Affairs at Andrew College.
Dr. Lockhart joins Andrew College from Louisburg College, a minority-serving private institution related by faith to the United Methodist Church, in Louisburg, North Carolina, where she served as the Vice President of Academic Life and Chief Academic Officer.
“Andrew College is delighted to welcome Dr. Calandra Lockhart back home to southwest Georgia in her vital campus role,” said Dr. William R. Kennedy, President of Andrew College. “Not only does Dr. Lockhart share our institutional values, but she is also a leader with a track record of academic excellence, faculty support, and collaborative leadership. The institution is fortunate to have her during this pivotal time.”
Dr. Lockhart has extensive experience in higher education. Prior to her time at Louisburg College, Dr. Lockhart served as the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs at Otero College in LaJunta, Colorado. Before Otero College, she was the Vice President of Academic Affairs at Manor
College in Jenkintown, PA. She also served as the Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs and the Dean of the Division of Education at Wiley College in Marshall, Texas. Dr. Lockhart earned her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Auburn University, earned her Masters of Education from Auburn University, and her Bachelor of Science degree in Education, from Troy University. Dr. Lockhart is originally from Columbus, Georgia.
